The goal of the training program is to provide supervised work experience, and to help the developing professional attain broader training in counseling/psychotherapy, assessment, and supervision. There are two levels of training offered at the Georgia Tech Counseling Center. The center offers a pre-doctoral internship with two full-time funded intern positions beginning in 2007-2008.
At the practicum level, supervision and practical experience are offered to meet the program requirements for psychology, professional counseling, and marriage and family therapy.
Methods of Evaluation
All trainees receive a midyear review following the first semester, and then an evaluation at the completion of the academic year. The predoctoral interns are given the opportunity to evaluate the program as well, and offer feedback to his/her supervisor, or the director of training.
