Applying for the Doctoral Internship
Applicants for the doctoral internship must have completed all course requirements for the doctoral degree prior to beginning their doctoral internship, and should have accumulated 500 hours of practicum experience (can include masters and doctoral practica as well as intervention and assessment hours). The doctoral degree must be from an APA/CPA-accredited program or from a regionally accredited institution of higher education. Applicants must submit a completed APPIC Application for Psychology Internship (AAPI) online by November 10, 2017 in order to be considered. Applications can be accessed from the APPIC website. Georgia Tech appointments conform to a variety of requirements, including legal eligibility for employment in the U.S. (sometimes called the I-9 requirement) and a background check that verifies that educational credentials are valid and that candidates have no criminal or other record that would preclude employment in the Institute's judgment. These are conducted following the APPIC Match, but the outcome of these background checks have the potential to preclude appointment.
This internship site agrees to abide by the APPIC policy that no person at this training facility will solicit, accept, or use any ranking-related information from any intern applicant.
